myTrailer does a driver verification for each renter, which includes identification submission and a selfie check to ensure the renter is the person on their driver’s license. Drivers must have liability insurance that will extend to your trailer. As an owner, you must also verify the renters drivers license and insurance at pickup to ensure the person picking up is the person who placed the online booking and their insurance has is active.
15 minutes before the rental period starts, you’ll receive an email with a checklist, one for the renter and one for the owner. Please fill out and submit the checklists within 24 hours of departure. If there are any issues that keep the trailer from being safely and securely attached to the tow vehicle, they must be resolved before the renter can egress with the trailer.
